World War Toons never returned to the PlayStation Store. At the time, the developer explained that “increasing difficulty of having both VR and 2D gameplay interacting together began to compromise what we could make at the timeframe we wanted to keep.” However, the studio removed the game from the PlayStation Store in September 2017. The game launched in open beta in the US for Sony’s PSVR headset when it released back in 2016. In 2015 Studio Roqovan (then named Reload Studios) raised $4 million to make the game a reality. It featured optional VR support set in a cartoonish version of the Second World War. However, the game features original VR motion sickness reduction from the developers to help address this issue.World Wars Toons, one of VR’s earliest hopes for a great first-person shooter (FPS), is no more as developer Studio Roqovan closes its doors. Naturally, it is an action-packed game, so motion sickness may be an issue for some. The developers describe World War Toons: Tank Arena VR as a hyper-casual experience, and it should be suitable for players of all ages (suitable for VR) and skill levels. ![]() New skins can also be unlocked for the tanks. In addition to World War II-era tanks, there are Sherman and Tiger tanks. The game provides 3 different terrains to do battle in, and players will be able to wage war in a choice of 8 different tanks. ![]() It is a multiplayer game that provides co-op functionality. The aim of the game is to be victorious, of course, and players will need to use various strategies and tactics to succeed. World War Toons: Tank Arena VR places the player in control of a cartoon tank with an armory of weapons at their disposal.
